Tutorial For Saving and Using Email Stationery
When you install the free version of Window’s Live Mail, a folder application is created in My Documents,
called “My Stationery”.  This is where Window’s Live Mail looks first for stationery.
The standard stationery that comes with Live Mail is in gif, jpeg, and HTML formats.

Just a note here:  Windows Live Mail - 2011 version does not support the use of stationery.  So, when you
download the free version of Windows Live Mail - look for the version released 5-15-2009 Here

Now - back to email stationery.  If you want to save my stats into this folder:  The path would be:
My computer/Local Disc (C:)/Documents & Settings/User (owner)/My Documents/My Stationery.
Also, you can download to any folder that you create and name.

If you save the stats in “My Stationery” or if you have downloaded to a different folder than My Stationery:  Select  “Format” and make sure Rich text (HTML) is checked.  Then using “Format” select Background – Image – Browse
(open the folder where the stats are stored) and just double click on the stat you want to use and then “ok”.

Once you apply the stationery to your “New” email, you can then save it as stationery by selecting
File – Save as Stationery and that will save the jpeg as a HTML file in the “My Stationery” folder
(This makes your favorite stats easier to access, since Live Mail uses “My Stationery” as its default.)

My stats are in jpeg and gif formats only at this time.  I am working on converting them to HTML
Then the stats will control where the text starts and ends.  That will make the states
more convenient and easier to use especially when the stat has a side border.

To save these stationeries - just click on the image & it will open in a new window.
Then right click & save to: Program Files/Common Files/Microsoft Shared/ Stationery.
This folder is where Outlook stores stationery in gif, jpeg, and HTML formats.
Also, you can download to any folder that you create and name.

If you downloaded the stats to Stationery following the above path, or if you have downloaded to a different folder
than Stationery:  Select  “Format” and make sure Rich text (HTML) is checked.  Then using “Format”
select Background – Image – Browse (open the folder where the stats are stored)
and just double click on the stat you want to use and then “ok”.

Once you apply the stationery to your “New” email, you can then save it as stationery by selecting
File – Save as Stationery and that will save the jpeg as a HTML file in the the Outlook Stationery folder.
(This makes your favorite stats easier to access, since Live Mail uses “Stationery” as its default.)
